Controlling Type 2 Diabetes with Diet

The three type Diabetes:

1. Type 1 Diabetes. 2. Type 2 Diabetes. 3. Gestational Diabetes. The three-type-diabetes, cause blood sugar levels to turn into higher than normal. Nevertheless, they cause it in different ways. Type 1 is rare than the second type. Most of diabetics nationwide suffer from type 2, which happens at the time that the body becomes incapable to process insulin properly. Over 95% of diabetics are type 2, which is insulin-resistant.

Type 1 – Juvenile Type Diabetes

In view of the fact that, Type 1 diabetes most often occurs in kids and young adults it is called also juvenile diabetes. This type diabetes has an effect on 5% of all diabetics. This type diabetes happens at the time that the body’s immune system attacks the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. As the body cannot turn blood sugar, or glucose, into energy – either since it does not produce a sufficient amount insulin or does not use it suitably – diabetes will outcome. In the past, it was common that Type 1, the Juvenile Type Diabetes, only happens in children but recent research shows that it also can develop in adults. This type-diabetes is treatable. Medicine, work out and severe diabetes diet will be needed to maintain health.

Adult-Type Diabetes – Diabetes Type 2

Some people develop a Diabetes Type – called secondary diabetes, Diabetes Type 2 This type diabetes is similar to type 1 diabetes, though adult-type diabetes – Diabetes Type 2 happens, as the body is unable to act in response to insulin ordinarily . The beta cells are not destroyed by the immune system however by several other factors, such as cystic fibrosis or pancreatic surgery. Constructing people with type 1 diabetes, nearly everyone people with type 2 diabetes can produce insulin, but not enough to meet the body’s needs.

Type Diabetes: Diabetes Gestational

Higher maternal women ages are to be expected to have the type diabetes-Diabetes Gestational. Other imperative issues that cause diabetes: fatness and family history of Type 2 Diabetes. A national research reveals that at the childbirth, approximately 4% of all pregnancies are more often than not complicated due to diabetes. Mothers diagnosed with diabetes for a long time, have fewer odds of transferring diabetes onto born babies. Research found that the baby might develop diabetes after birth at anytime later in life. In addition, having diabetes increases a mother’s risks of the following: 1. Preeclampsia, high blood pressure that occurs while pregnancy. 2. Low glucose episodes, which can sometimes be deadly if not managed appropriately. Luckily, these risks can be reduced by fine preparation and diabetes diet before conception, in addition to early prenatal care, exercise and punctual care at the time of delivery.

During my pregnancy, I came to know that I had diabetes gestational. However, there are few subtle symptoms, which I did not particularly notice that help to diagnose diabetes gestational in its early stage.

Your doctor will tell you if you need the medications and if he prescribes them, you must take them. If you get to where you are really watching your diet and exercising or walking on a regular basis, you may have to have your meds adjusted or changed as your control gets better. Some type 2 diabetics can control their disease by diet and exercise, but it is NOT true that all of them can. 83% of type 2 diabetics need medications. Those that are able to control with diet and exercise normally will need medications later in life.

Sugars negative effects on the liver and kidney can cause people who do not increase calories to gain weight as well as retain alot of water.

My guess is that since you cut it out of your diet, you probably lost alot of water that your body was retaining in order to help your organs dilute the sugar. Since you are no longer consuming sugar, you no longer need to retain the extra water.

Well controlled diabetes frequently involves medication, diet, and exercise. And, weight loss if you are over weight – research shows that even a drop of 5 to 10 pounds can improve one's control. It sounds like you need some professional guidance from an Endocrinologist and/or a CDE. For some dietary guidelines see the following:

Hey, every now and then you have to splurge and have a treat to keep yourself “inline” the rest of the time. I do this, but not often. It’s not a good habit to “treat” every day, you know. I always plan some exercise afterwards, too, to help the numbers get back down.

actually saturated fats are good for you, and the vast majority of fatty build up in your arteries is polyunsaturated fats.

How could your blood sugar be 45?
Was that a correct number that you showed on the video? That is really low.
Normal blood sugar range is 70 to 100.

    nope

i don't know but ask your docter they can answer that.

Protein is what I'd suggest. Some small serving of meat and cheeses. They break down a bit slower and should give her some coverage throught the night. An old, cheap easy on is a bologna and cheese sandwich.
Sugar free yogurt is good if she can tolerate the dairy at night.
An ounce or two of almonds, depending on her teeth.

70-80 mg/dL is not a bad reading, especially for fasting. Bear in mind that type 2 diabetics have the reputation for feeling low with a normal blood sugar, because it helps them get a bite to eat. Sneaky. This is not a conscious thing, just a Pavlov type thing. "If I feel this way, I get food." The training of the brain is quite powerful.

If she starts dropping into the sixties and lower, of course a more carb rich snack of juice or PBJ will bring her back up fast, but it doesn't sound like it is that bad.

Med wise, take her list of blood sugars to her doctor and ask if her PM meds need adjusted, if she is on some. I couldn't quite tell from your question.

    Take care.

What was your A1C and what are your blood sugars 2 hours after you eat and when you wake up in the morning?

  18. By Free Blog on Sep 15, 2009

    A1C test. 6.2
Between 88 and 95 in the mornings.
And never higher than 147, 2 hours after meals. Never.
Although I did eat a two scoop sundae from baskin robins one day. And my blood sugar peaked around 250. But that was with the works, whipped cream nuts cherries and syrup.

Looked like 4.5, read in MMOL not MGDL. He was probably at 81, then, which is acceptable. I know many online who use MMOL scale.
